Nigerian Dwarf Goats originated in Africa and are true miniature goats.
They
are smaller in size and very colorful, often with beautiful blue eyes.
The
Nigerian Dwarf Goat is similar to a larger dairy goat but they tend to
have more
slender bodies than other dairy goats.
General Information:
Due to the Nigerian Dwarf size they require much less land space to raise.
The does can range up to 21" and the bucks up to 23". (Please see
ndga website
for specifics). Nigerian Dwarfs are very loveable, sweet, and playful. The have
an even and gentle disposition. They make wonderful show animals.
My goat house (right) provides shelter,
a place in the shade and to play.
Numerous oak trees offer a snack
(leaves and acorns) and something to climb.
We test yearly for
Caprine Arthritis Encephalitis with negative results as of
December 2007.
